Claire's Knee is part of Eric Rohmer's "Six Moral Tales" series- a slow paced and subtle story of love and sexual obsession. I knew it was going to be slow and full of long wordy conversations, but I loved it anyway. It left me wishing I were 16 again, French, and spending the summer at a lake house in France. Style is iconic of the late 60's and early 70's.
The two young girls in the story, Laura and Claire, were slender and naturally beautiful running around in little clothing. Style was simple; mini dresses, basic t-shirts that hit low on the hips, floppy hats, and high waisted shorts worn with knee high socks- definitely an inspiration for my summer wardrobe...
