Bay of Angels

Entranced! Romantic! Utterly French!

I think I may only want to watch French films from now on...
To prepare for the Every Little Counts roadtrip to Casino Morongo (more to come on that), Adam and I watched "Bay of Angels" by Jacques Demy.

"Love is a gamble in this 1963 film directed by Jacques Demy. While vacationing in Nice, problem gambler Jackie Demaistre (Jeanne Moreau, beautifully decked out in designer Pierre Cardin's creations) meets Jean Fournier (Claude Mann), a banker who's just as enamored of casinos as she is. Before too long, their attraction to the vice draws them together; but just as quickly, it threatens to tear them apart"

Jeanne Moreau looks flawless as Jackie- sauntering about in heels and an elegant tight white suit, cigarette hanging out of her mouth, perfect dramatic black eyeliner, and complete with a bleach blonde, almost white bouffant. She is cool, offbeat, sensuous and austere, and I am addicted to watching her.

Sweetie, are you just finding the beauty of Jacques Demy? You need to get yourself some "Young Girls of Rochefort" for true fashion inspiration!

ps: love your shirts!
