The Brothers Bloom
We went to go see The Brothers Bloom last night. It's a stylish and quirky con-man story full of lust, intrigue, humor and adventure. The locations were amazing- Prague, Montenegro, St. Petersburg...with all traveling done by boat and train in this antiquated and fantastical sort of way. Rachel Weisz is hilarious as this eccentric and innocent millionaire, "Penelope", who was found living in an enormous estate in New Jersey and driving a bright yellow Lambourghini. I am still wondering if that could have really been New Jersey...it looked more like the rolling hills of Ireland, but anyway...it was a great adventure and you should go out and see it! And, Adrien Brody is especially endearing...

This looks really good, I'll add it to my list of movies I want to watch. Thanks for the recommendation! I'm always on the lookout for fun movies.
i love me some Adrien Brody - thanks for the review!
The fashion/ costumes look great.
Nice line-up of actors, too (I love me some Mark Ruffalo...and Rachel Weisz!).
I was worried that it would be kind of a Wes Anderson rip-off though.
We'll probably end up Netflix-ing it!

Amy: You should check out this post: http://etlilleoejeblik.blogspot.com/2009/05/one-hot-mama.html
It reminds me of your photos of your mom and dad.
A lot of people are making the Wes Anderson comparison...I can see that, but Adam and I both loved it. Maybe it was the adventure..I love heist and adventure films, but it was also very endearing and inspiring. Wow..it's starting to sound like I was hired to hype it up (that would've been nice, but sadly not true).
And thanks Jennifer.. love that link! love the headscarf!
