breathless

it's the 50th anniversary of breathless!
i can not wait to see the restoration. if you're in new york, it opens today at the film forum and if you're in los angeles, you can see it at laemmle's.

i'm a little heartbroken about this, because i kinda wanted to do it myself, but i just heard that the rodarte sisters are making limited edition tees to celebrate the anniversary, including a replica of jean seberg's "new york herald tribune" tee. i think i'm going to need one.  let's hope they aren't too expensive.

That looks like a wonderful movie. I live in Los Angeles, so I'll definitely be seeing it. Love the pictures! xx

also i'm pretty confident that your take on the t-shirts would surpass the efforts of the sisters Rodarte.

I loved all of the striped shirts in that movie. One of my fave movies, too.

One of my favorites! There's also suppose to be a new doc out about Goddard and Truffaut--NY Times has article about it. I think you should still do your own tee.

Thanks Christine! Yup- I just did some research, it's called "Two in the Wave" and it's also playing at the Film Forum in nyc... woo hoo!

aargh. every time i see jean seberg i want to cut my hair off. and i'm sure i will soon enough. i love the idea of the dark hair with bangs a la angelica. i personally can't do dark anymore, as it's too aging, but you can totally do it! i think you would look good with any color though. love.

YAY I LOVE BREATHLESS. I've seen Breathless twice in the movie theatre. Such a privilege. I wish I could watch more French New Wave films in the theatre. Jean Seberg was stunning. Loved her clothes and hair!
