Whoa, Corey Haim.

So I woke up this morning to discover Corey Haim died. I guess I'm not really surprised, but still a little sad. Some of you youngins might not care so much, but Corey Haim was one of my first crushes- right up there with Michael Jackson (hey, I was young!), Kirk Cameron, River Phoenix, Ricky Schroder, and Ryan Lambert. I feel like I'm forgetting someone... it was a long time ago. Maybe I'll expand on this later. But in the meantime, I will choose to remember the Corey I used to love back in the 80's. These are my two favorite Corey movies....

Lucas, 1986- such a sweet movie. Also starring Charlie Sheen, Kerri Green, Winona Ryder, and Courtney Thorne- Smith.

License to Drive, 1988. Seriously, so good, so wonderfully 80's. I remember waiting for this to come out and finally going to see it at the theater with my mom and brother.  Also starring Heather Graham in her first movie- I totally wanted to be her.

I'm ashamed to say I have never seen The Lost Boys... the whole vampire thing. I was too scared.  Did anyone else see "Dream a Little Dream?" All I remember is being either really confused, bored, or disappointed. I should watch it again.

I used to love Corey Haim too - sad news today!

I might have to re-watch all these movies asap.

I think it's time for a Corey & Corey movie night. I'd watch these two movies and add Gooneys (an all time favorite) and Stand By Me!

Ahhhhhhhh....so sad. I guess an example of what fame and excess can do to some people.

Very sad news. And The Lost Boys isn't so scary, worth a watch.

isn't it unreal to think of the cute sweet faced teen in "liscence to drive" being gone? that was my favorite film ever! and i too wantedd to be Mercedes in her pink 80's dress! awwww

my girlfriend Lauren couldn't believe i had never seen Lucas... perhaps i'll fix that in tribute to the cutest Corey. xo

Lucas!!! Definitely the best. The Lost Boys isn't too scary...and there is a particular saxophone player that is so ridiculously 80s looking that you should watch just for the 3 seconds he's on the screen.

I hope when Corey opens his locker in heaven he finds a letterman's jacket inside...
