One of my favorite filmmaker's died today- Eric Rohmer, at age 89. He was one of the founders of French New Wave cinema- right up there with Godard and Truffaut. If you haven't seen any of his films, here are a few of my favorites....all simple, beautiful, and smart.

I wondered if you'd seen the news. I plan to write something, too.
So sad... I miss the truly great filmmakers, so tired of all this stuff today.
I feel old.
Don't forget "Chloe in the Afternoon"! (or "Love in the Afternoon", whichever)
I just heard about this :(
that's sad to hear he passed away. i actually haven't seen his films, but i will definitely check them out now!
When I heard he died, I immediately thought of Adam & you!
I've sadly never seen any of his films.
So sad, I am a HUGE fan of the classics.
Great post hun.
xo.
